CEDPO has submitted its response to the EDPB’s public consultation on the draft harmonised Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) Template.
While supporting the EDPB objective of promoting greater consistency across Europe, CEDPO recommends improvements to ensure the template remains practical, proportionate and suitable for organisations of all sizes. The response highlights the importance of multidisciplinary expertise, clarifies the respective roles of controllers and DPOs, and proposes enhancements relating to AI, risk assessment and operational usability.
CEDPO looks forward to contributing to a practical and harmonised European framework for conducting high-quality DPIAs.
