According to Art. 97 para. 1 GDPR, the EU Commission shall submit a report on the evalua-tion and review of the Regulation to the European Parliament and the Council by 25 May 2020 and every four years thereafter, which shall also be made public. In connection with the sec-ond review report due in mid-2024, the EU Commission is currently conducting a consultation on the evaluation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which has been in force since 1 May 2018. Feedback can be submitted to the Commission until 8 February 2024. A questionnaire from September 2023, which was used to consult a so-called High-Level Ex-pert Group, was also taken into account.
